Tell Your Legislators: Illinois Must Repeal PNA
In the face of attacks on reproductive health care in many states and from DC, Illinois has acted to expand access to this health care, but the task is not complete.
It is time for Illinois to repeal harmful forced Parental Notice of Abortion (PNA), an unnecessary law that puts young people in danger and interferes with their access to time-sensitive health care. We must ensure that all young people are safe, affirmed, and healthy. Take action today to make your sure your voice is heard by your representatives in the Illinois General Assembly.
CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVE IN THE ILLINOIS GA
Call your representatives in the Illinois General Assembly and tell them that you support the repeal of PNA. It’s as easy as reading from this script:
“I’m calling to voice my support for repealing forced Parental Notice of Abortion (PNA). I am [a young person, community member, adult, parent, etc.]. Illinois’ current PNA law is dangerous because not all young people have a safe relationship with their parents or guardians. Please vote YES to repeal PNA at your first opportunity.”
